Andrey Rublev has already made another big comeback

Anyone who serves up the match win against Andrey Rublev at 5-3 in the third set should be careful: This is what happened on Sunday in Hamburg Stefanos Tsitsipas. And so it happened to Sam Querrey two days later at the French Open 2020: The American had won the first two rounds in the tiebreak, but could not make it into the second round. Instead Rublev came back and ultimately won 6: 7 (5), 6: 7 (4), 7: 5, 6: 4, 6: 3. Such a show of strength was not necessary in Hamburg, after all, the Rothenbaum only played for two sets of wins.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, in turn, followed suit a few minutes after Rublev. The Greek defeated Jaume Munar from Spain 4: 6, 2: 6, 6: 1, 6: 4 and 6: 4 on his return to the court Suzanne-Lenglen. Last year, Tsitsipas lost to Stan Wawrinka in five sets in an epic match at the second largest stadium. The Greek will now face Pablo Cuevas, against whom he only won last week in Hamburg.

Andrey Rublev, in turn, meets the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina. The number one of the tournament, Novak Djokovic, had no problems at all with Mikael Ymer from Sweden, winning 6: 0, 6: 2 and 6: 3 after just 97 minutes of playing time.
