One thing can be said with great certainty: In the men's competition, two big hits will take place on the first day of the tournament at the French Open - regardless of the weather conditions. Because both the game between David Goffin, number eleven in Roland Garros 2020, and Jannik Sinner as well as the veteran duel between Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka were scheduled on the Court Philippe-Chatrier. And as is well known, it has recently had a roof. Sinner against Goffin is from 11 a.m. (live on Eurosport), Wawrinka against Murray as the fourth match after 11 a.m.

Alexander Zverev and Dennis Novak were nominated as the fourth pairing on the Suzanne-Lenglen Court. And Jurij Rodionov is also allowed to play in the second largest stadium on his debut: The Austrian will face local hero Jeremy Chardy in the second game after 11 a.m. After Rodionov and before Zverev, Cori Gauff tries against Johanna Konta.

Two more Germans fight for a place in the second round on the first day: Anna-Lena Friedsam against Aliaksnadra Sasnovich in the second game on Court 13, followed by Dominik Koepfer, who meets the French Antoine Hoang.
