After losing the first set, Melzer and Lopez fought their way back into the game, leading 3-1 in the third round. But Arneodo and Paire struck back, eventually winning 6: 2, 5: 7 and 6: 4. Melzer's next outing will probably take place in Wimbledon. The only question is with which partner. The Austrian legend would love to compete there with Philipp Petzschner. However, there are some question marks behind the fitness of the German.

In addition to Melzer, Oliver Marach and Philipp Oswald are also represented in the double tableau from an Austrian point of view. Marach plays with Aisan-ul-Haq Qureshi, Oswald with his standard partner Marcus Daniell.
