Alexander Zverev is on the rise again: after a disappointing start to the season, the man from Hamburg has improved steadily in recent weeks and found his sand form. /

In Munich he had - according to his own statement - played his worst match in recent years and was kicked out at the start, in Madrid he had dug more into the final (and lost there against Carlos Alcaraz). And then in Rome, strong tennis was actually presented, until the semifinals against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Is something going for Zverev in Paris? In 2021 he reached the semi-finals, his best result so far at Roland Garros. The final stop was there against Tsitsipas - in hard-fought five sets.

Sebastian Ofner: Comeback with tournament victory

Zverev meets the Austrian Sebastian Ofner in the 2022 edition. He had his big break at Wimbledon in 2017, where he reached the third round of qualifying after beating top 20 player Jack Sock. Then came the end: against Zverev. The German won the only duel between the two so far 6: 4, 6: 4, 6: 2.

Ofner, best number 126 in the world (in May 2019), recently fell out of the top 200 after an injury-related break from the end of 2021 until April of this year. However, he had presented himself in strong form at the Challenger tournament in Prague and won the title there after three victories over top 200 competition. Ofner had to have surgery after severe foot problems and had not expected such a strong form, as he revealed in the tennisnet interview .

He has also been in good form in Paris so far, only giving up one set in his three qualifying matches and is in the main draw at Roland Garros for the first time.

When is Zverev coming against Ofner?

The game between Alexander Zverev and Sebastian Ofner is scheduled as the third game after 11 a.m. on the Suzanne-Lenglen court, so it should start at 2 or 3 p.m. Eurosport is live on TV and via Eurosport Player - we have the live ticker for you!
