Defending champion Novak Djokovic took it upon himself to get the game plan back on track on the sixth day of the French Open 2022. After Leylah Fernandez and Belinda Bencic had occupied the chatrier for almost three hours, Djokovic made short work of Aljaz Bedene. The world number one won 6:3, 6:3 and 6:2 and only needed 104 minutes.

The result is not surprising: Djokovic won all eight sets played against Bedene so far, and the Belgrade was never in danger on Friday either. A more difficult task awaits Djokovic in the round of 16: it's against Diego Schwartzman, who was able to hold his own against Grigor Dimitrov in three sets.

In any case, Bedene does not have the weapons to pose a threat to Novak Djokovic. The industry leader dominated from the baseline, and the serve worked well. Djokovic remains in Paris without losing a set. Most recently, he won the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome without having to give up a round.
