After missing the semifinals in Paris, top talent Holger Rune admitted that he would have to deal better with his emotions in the future. "I didn't find my level in my quarterfinals, it's frustrating," Rune wrote on Instagram after the four-set loss to Norwegian Casper Ruud: "Nevertheless, I should be able to find a way to win. And that requires more emotional control."

He is aware of this and will improve, wrote the only 19-year-old Rune, who caused a sensation in the 1: 6, 6: 4, 6: 7 (2), 3: 6 defeat in the third set, among other things. He shouted a few words in the direction of his box, shortly afterwards his mother Aneke Rune left the ranks of the spectators at Court Philippe Chatrier and only came back much later.

Ruud blames Rune

Rune denied sending his mother out of the arena after his elimination. "I didn't tell my mother to leave the stadium. That wasn't the reason," he told Discovery Plus.

His behavior during the match didn't always suit his opponent Ruud. "He's young and new, so you can excuse it. But when you're on a big stage, maybe it's time to grow up a bit," he told Norway's VG.
