In a hard-fought game, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was the first to put his stamp on the game. The world number 46. secured the decisive break in the first round and set 6: 4 to 1: 0 sets. Same game in the second set, with the same result, Davidovich Fokina took a comfortable lead.

In the third round, Delponis managed to shorten again. With another 6: 4, the Spaniard made everything clear in the fourth set - and thus celebrated the greatest success of his young career.
