French Open: Alexander Zverev defeated Laslo Djere in three sets - round of 16 against Kei Nishikori

Alexander Zverev beat Laslo Djere in three sets

Alexander Zverev could not have made his first appearance on the Court Philippe-Chatrier at this year's French Open in the first round against Laslo Djere much more confident. The German immediately put his stamp on the game under the closed roof and bagged the opening set extremely comfortably with 6: 2.

At the beginning of the second section, however, the thread completely broke with the 24-year-old, Djere won the first three games and - although Zverev had managed a rebreak in the meantime - at the score of 5: 3 on the set compensation. The Serbian missed three set balls in a row from 40: 0 and then had to give up his serve and the set a little later.

Zverev beats Nishikori in Madrid and Rome

In the third act, Zverev managed a quick break, which he was able to confirm after a competitive game. This was the resistance of the world number 55. Finally broken: Zverev took Djere's serve one more time and fixed the 6: 2, 7: 5 and 6: 2 success after 2:08 hours of play.

In the round of 16, the native of Hamburg has to deal with Kei Nishikori, who benefited from a task by the Swiss after set one in his third round game against Henri Laaksonen. Against the Japanese, Zverev won in both Madrid and Rome this year.
