Neumayer only needed 78 minutes to win his second game. Which was helpful insofar as the rain set in early in the afternoon and tennis on the outdoor courts was out of the question for several hours. In the first round, Neumayer had shown nervousness: Against the 13th Italian Fabio Cobolli he was 3: 5 behind in the tie-break of the third set, but won after a playing time of 2:43 hours with 3: 6, 7: 6 ( 4) and 7: 6 (5).
In the round of 16, Lukas Neumayer, who also took part in the Generali Austrian Pro Series in the summer, could face the French Harold Mayot, who was in first place.
