The Generali Race to Kitzbühel will again attract amateur players from all over Austria to the country's tennis courts in 2023. The largest hobby event in Europe in the run-up to the Generali Open 2023 is entering the next round this year. Once again with attractive prizes, numerous qualifying tournaments throughout Austria and the opportunity to play in front of 6,000 people at the Center Court in Kitzbühel for a rich winner's check of 10,000 euros.

When does it start?

The first qualifying tournament will take place from April 14th to 18th at UTC La Ville in Vienna. A total of twelve tournaments in three regions are currently planned. Other organizers could be added, as Alexander Antonitsch confirmed to tennisnet.com.

Why is?

The main prize of the Generali Race to Kitzbühel this season is a winner's check for 10,000 euros. In addition, a year's supply of balls will be played at all qualifying tournaments. All participants also have the opportunity to win "Behind the Scenes" passes for the Generali Open 2023.

How is it played?

The game is played in different ITN categories, the top 4 players from each of these categories per area qualify for the final tournament as part of the Generali Open. The so-called tie-break shoot-out mode is used in the final games, in which a handicap results depending on the ITN difference of the players.
