What a conclusion to a fantastic event, in which more than 1,500 amateur tennis players took part from the first qualification tournament to the grand finale in Kitzbühel: Tobias Für Schuss from Bregenz, 22 years old and on the road for TC Hard, won with a 10: 7 final victory in the tie-break shootout against the only 17-year-old Alois Gressl from TC Zellerndorf in Lower Austria the winner's prize in the individual: a new Cupra Formentor.

And the double competition, which was held for the first time, had one, no, two treats to offer the winners: Both Dennis Bader and Alfonso Maculan, the two winners from Vienna, received a SEAT MÓ eScooter 125. The finals in the partner competition took place on Center Court on Saturday, immediately after Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler won the title at the Generali Open. The decision in the individual was made on Friday.

Tournament boss Lippert praises the champion

Tournament boss Claus Lippert, who had traveled from one tournament location to the next during the last few weeks, organized and observed the matches, drew a more than satisfied final balance. And explicitly emphasized the nerve strength of the individual winner Für Schuss: He started with his ITN of 2.7 in a total of four matches with the highest possible deficit: a 0: 7 deficit. In one game, Advance had to fend off eight match balls at 1: 9.

Vorarlberg also had a handicap to make up for in the final: Gressl started with a 4-0 cushion, and was now in the lead 7-3. After that, Für Schuss chose the old tactic of the great Björn Born: Simply play the ball over the net once more than the opponent. He decided to do that before the start of the game - and even more so at 3: 7. The reward for this was a new, ultra-chic vehicle: the Cupra Formentor.
