More than 1,500 players competed for the main prize at the Generali Race to Kitzbühel, a fully electric Cupra Born. After 13 qualifying tournaments, which were held in all nine Austrian federal states for the first time, the big showdown is now taking place on the Center Court in Kitzbühel.

Eight amateur players are still left, the final field was determined during the last few days at TC Going. Tournament manager Claus Lippert, who personally managed every single event in the series, doesn't dare to tip favorites. But some athletes have played their way into Lippert's heart.

Such as Karl Hechensteiner, at 66 the oldest participant in the Final Eight. The senior's advantage: He usually goes into the tiebreak shootout with a big lead. Or how about Michael Juritsch? The two-meter giant has earned a reputation as a fighter over the past few weeks, and there is no getting around it.

Or maybe a boy? The scoring system, which gives an advantage to the player with the worse ITN, really makes anything possible. And being able to compete in front of full grandstands in Austria's most legendary tennis stadium will also play a role. The voltage increases!
