Goran Ivanisevic sees Andy Murray no longer able to win a Grand Slam title. For the matches in a major are physically too challenging, the Croat said.

When Andy Murray spoke at the Australian Open at the beginning of the year about a possible resignation because of too big hip problems, hardly anyone would have dared to win another tournament. It should come differently, the 32-year-old won at the ATP-250 event in Antwerp his 46th title - and that with an artificial hip!

Despite the overall more than successful comeback Goran Ivanisevic trusts the former world number one rider no more major title. "A Slam? No chance, but he can make some surprises and go a long way, but I do not think he can survive seven of the best five matches," the Croat said.

Murray is easy going

Although Murray was an unpleasant opponent for any player, a fourth Grand Slam victory would surprise Ivanisevic very much. However, the Wimbledon winner of the year 2001 did not spare praise for the Briton: "He's a great competitor, he wants to win when he goes to the court, and if the hip is okay, no one wants to play against him."

Murray himself wants to be surprised, however. "I was asked what would be a success for me in Australia and I do not expect to win the tournament, but if I could play a best of five match and not have any pain in my hip, that would be it great success, "said the five-time finalist of the Australian Open.
