Gone is the confusion - how is which deciding sentence decided in the Grand Slam tournaments. Not so rarely in recent years has it gone so far that even the players have had to ask the referee what the current rule looks like. /

Now it is clear: All four Grand Slam tournaments will be decided in the decisive set with a tie-break - up to ten points. Wimbledon announced this on behalf of all majors.

"On behalf of the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open, the Grand Slam Board is pleased to announce the joint decision to play a 10-point tiebreak at all Grand Slams, starting with a score of a total of six games is played in the final set.

After extensive consultations with the WTA, ATP, ITF and tennis players, the Grand Slam Board's decision is based on the desire to make the rules of the game in the Grand Slams more uniform and thus improve the experience for players and fans .
