Hamburg Rothenbaum with five top ten players - Zverev, Thiem are missing

Local hero Alexander Zverev will probably not serve at the traditional ATP tournament at Hamburg's Rothenbaum this year. Number four in the world rankings is missing, at least after the official registration list for the Hamburg European Open 2020, which has been postponed from July 19 to 27 September due to the corona pandemic. By the way, as is Dominic Thiem.

However, like other German players, both could receive a wildcard from the organizer. The entry list is headed by US Open finalist Daniil Medvedev
Russia, followed by the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, winner of the ATP finals in London.

Defending champion Nikolos Basilashvili from Georgia has also registered. No German player is currently qualified for the main field via the world rankings. Jan-Lennard Struff is currently ranked 34th in third place.

This year the clay court tournament will take place in the Hanseatic city just before the French Open in Paris.
