He is the fourth player to catch the Adriatic tour he organized in Belgrade and Zadar / Croatia. The positive cases of Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria), Borna Coric (Croatia) and Viktor Troicki (Serbia) were already known. The show tournament series had been heavily criticized for lack of safety regulations. Alexander Zverev (Hamburg) announced on Monday that it had tested negative.

Djokovic, who had been tested on his return to Belgrade, apologized in his statement: "I am extremely sorry for every single case." He hoped that there would be no complications "and everyone would get well". Unfortunately, Djokovic wrote, the virus is still there: "This is the new reality, we are still learning to cope with it and to live with it."
