Like Barbara Haas, Julia Grabher is in the quarterfinals of the ITF women's tour this week

Two more great successes for the ÖTV ladies, who are not exactly used to success, on the ITF Tour: Julia Grabher and Barbara Haas are in the quarterfinals at various events. The Vorarlberg native, seeded second at the W60 clay court tournament in the Slovenian coastal town of Koper, reached the round of eight with a resounding 6-2, 6-0 win over Russia's Darya Astakhova. In the first round, Austria's number one defeated the British Yuriko Lily Miyazaki 7:5, 6:2. Now it's up to the 25-year-old against Sada Nahimana from Burundi, who was able to take the Russian Natalia Vikhlyantseva out of the competition in three sets.

Here the single tableau from Koper.

Barbara Haas, on the other hand, is happy about two match successes so far at the W25 clay court event in Split. After the W60 tournament in Zagreb last week, the event in Croatia is only the second regular tournament for the Upper Austrian since the US Open last year. In her round of 16, Haas defeated Marie Temin from France 0:6, 6:3, 6:4 after a weak start. In round one, the Japanese Funa Kozaki had nothing to counter the Austrian's 6:1, 6:3 victory. In the quarter-finals, the 26-year-old comebacker is waiting for five seeded German Katharina Hobgarski.

Here the single tableau from Split.

Sinja Kraus is also surprisingly in the quarterfinals at the W100 clay court event in Wiesbaden, Germany. Here is our message.
