The Laver Cup will also take place in 2021 in a familiar atmosphere

If you look to Madrid these days, the common tennis fan is warm to the heart: The grandstands in the Caja Magica are at least partially occupied, in the course of the next week, in view of the appearances of the local hero Rafael Nadal, in all probability even those of the authorities prescribed capacity limit of 40 percent can be achieved.

It will take a while until a stadium is completely sold out again. At the end of the tunnel, however, you can already see some light: As announced on Tuesday, the TD Garden in Boston is expected to be fully occupied again from August 22nd of this year. Accordingly, the Laver Cup, which will take place from September 24th to 26th in 2021, would also take place in front of full spectators.

"The city of Boston will allow 100 percent occupancy in TD Garden from August 22, 2021, metrics for public approval are pending," says the TD Garden website . More information on the Laver Cup will be available as soon as it becomes available.

The previous three editions were each to the team from Europe, last year the event could not take place due to the corona pandemic. But this year, too, the task for "Team World" should be anything but easy: Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem have already confirmed their participation.
