Nadal, Djokovic & Co. - these are the top earners of the season
Tennisnet.com looks at who in the year 2019 grossed the most prize money.

The tennis season 2019 is over. What remains are triumphs, athletic dramas and, of course, the love of money. This year, Rafael Nadal played the most money, the Spaniard earned by his sporting achievements alone 16,349,586 US dollars, as Ubitennis found out . Among other things, the world number one won the Grand Slam tournaments in Paris and New York.
Behind them are Novak Djokovic ($ 13,277,228) and Ashleigh Barty ($ 11,307,587), two players who spent most of the year at the top of the world rankings. While Djokovic lost the place in the sun at the end of the season, Barty is still leading the WTA charts.
Thiem in fifth place
In fourth place is Roger Federer. The Swiss took home $ 8,716,975 in prize money in 2019. Behind him is the French Open finalist Dominic Thiem - the Austrian earned $ 7,836,322 this season.
With Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas in sixth and seventh, two more professionals will follow the men's tour before the Wimbledon winner awaits with Simona Halep. The top ten will be completed by Naomi Osaka and Bianca Andreescu.
