Novak Djokovic: Documentation probably in early 2022 - on a larger scale

On the sidelines of the US Open, Novak Djokovic postponed the start date for his documentation, which was already announced during the Australian Open. For this, this is realized in far larger dimensions.

Novak Djokovic will soon be on the big screen

Novak Djokovic is primarily driven by the insatiable hunger for success. The Serbian, who has been the non-plus-ultra in men's tennis in recent years, has no doubts or a secret about that. No, for the man from Belgrade all that counts is the place at the top of the eternal best list of tennis - combined with the fine attribute GOAT - that is clear.

This race for the most titles, most major trophies, most weeks at the top of the ATP charts is also at the center of the documentary that Djokovic had already announced during the Australian Open. Now, at the last Grand Slam of the year, things come full circle. Because the Serb again made the film the subject.

Release probably in early 2022

The Serb could not stick to the original plans to publish the documentation before the US Open. For good reason, as he explained: "There have been some changes since we wanted to shoot more material," said Djokovic. "Right now, the plan is for the documentary to see the light of day towards the end of this year or the first two months of 2022." The 19-time major winner is also currently filming in New York.

To compensate for the delayed start of the documentation, especially its size, as Djokovic explained. It should be either a film or a documentary series, the world number one let know. Which format you choose should be determined after the cutting work. "We will make this decision as a team," assured the industry leader.

Look behind the scenes

In terms of content, the documentation should also look behind the scenes of the success-hungry Serb, as he emphasized: "It's about my career and my life, some of my intimate and private things," said Djokovic. "Everyone who is closest to me has given interviews and talked about me. For those who don't know me, it will be a chance to get to know me better off the pitch."
