While Krawietz and Pütz had no problems with Facundo Bagnis and Diego Schwartzman from Argentina, Zverev and Struff had to stretch after a sovereign first set, going over a tiebreak in round two. But at the end there was a 6: 2 and 7: 6 (5). The next opponents are either the two Kazakhs Alexander BBublik and Andrey Gilubev or the French pairing Gael Monfils and Jeremy Chardy.

For Krawietz and Pütz, things will not continue as expected against the French Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut, who were in second position, but against Joe Salisbury and Andy Murray. The British won 6: 3 and 6: 2. Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov, who lost to Frances Tiafoe and Rajeev Ram in the match tiebreak with 10:12, are somewhat surprisingly eliminated.
