Aryna Sabalenka only finished her working day against Anett Kontaveit on Friday shortly before midnight, and not even 19 hours later the world number seven was back on the field. Really noticeable was the tiredness of the woman from Belarus, as she showed her best performance of the season against Simona Halep.
Sabalenka only needed 66 minutes to fix the clear 6: 3 and 6: 2 success. During the entire match, she did not allow the Romanian, who is used to strong returns, to break a single break, for her part, the 22-year-old Halep took the serve three times. Appropriately, Sabalenka ended the game with her fourth ace.
