Rafael Nadal renounces Wimbledon and the Olympics!

Rafael Nadal will not compete at Wimbledon in 2021. He announced this via Twitter. The 35-year-old will also be without the Olympic Games.

"Something like this is not an easy decision. But after listening to my body and discussing it with my team, I think it's the right one," wrote Nadal. The two-time Wimbledon Championships (2008, 2010) are absent from Church Road for the third time after 2004, 2009 and 2016. /

"The goal is to extend my career and carry on with what makes me happy," continued Nadal. He also won two Olympic gold medals, in 2008 in singles (in Beijing) and in 2016 in doubles (in Rio de Janeiro).
