Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have always had a good relationship. In 2010 the two already faced each other twice for a good cause: in December, the Swiss and Mallorcan competed in two "Matches for Africa" within 24 hours, which were held in favor of poor African children.

Federer also came to Mallorca for the opening of the "Rafa Nadal Academy" in 2016, almost four years later Nadal will return the favor for the "Roger Federer Foundation". "Nadal will help me again with my foundation next year," Federer said in a video to the fashion magazine Vogue .

The record is 35,681 spectators

On February 7, 2020, the 37-year-old and the 33-year-old will try to break the attendance record in a tennis match in Cape Town, South Africa. So far this has been 35,681 fans and comes from a charity game between Kim Clijsters and Serena WIlliams from 2010. The record of an official match was 27,448 spectators (Davis Cup final 2014).

In any case, Federer and Nadal should have enough space for a new world record. The venue will be the 55,000-seat football stadium in Cape Town, where 2010 World Cup matches were played.

"We will try to break the record attendance in Cape Town. I am looking forward to that today. Thank you, Rafa!" Said Federer, who subsequently only praised his long-term rival: "As intense as he is on the pitch, so open and he's honestly off the court. And he has a heart of gold. " For many years, both Federer and Nadal with their foundations have worked primarily for disadvantaged children.
