Andreas Mies missed the doubles final at the French Open in Paris. Alongside his Dutch partner Matwe Middelkoop, the man from Cologne lost his semi-final duel against the Belgian duo of Joran Vliegen and Sander Gille 4:6 and 5:7 on Thursday.

Mies has to wait for his third title in Roland Garros. The 32-year-old triumphed alongside Kevin Krawietz at the French Open in 2019 and 2020 before the two parted ways last year. Krawietz and his new doubles partner Tim Pütz (Frankfurt) failed this time in the quarter-finals.
