Simon Papendorf, Managing Director of the German Tennis Association, is looking forward to the cooperation: “Tennis is very important on the sports and leisure market in Germany, but there is also strong competition. It is all the more important that tennis has a high presence on television and on digital platforms. ServusTV is an ideal partner for this.”

ServusTV broadcasts Berlin, Stuttgart and Hamburg

The private broadcaster is expanding its commitment in Germany and sees tennis as an important sport for its own portfolio. With the bett1open (WTA Berlin), The Weissenhof (ATP Stuttgart) and the Hamburg European Open (ATP/WTA Hamburg), three top tournaments will be broadcast live and exclusively on free TV this year on ServusTV Germany and also in the stream on ServusTV On shown. The tennis summer at ServusTV Germany begins on June 4th with the broadcast of the Stuttgart lawn tournament.

"With the partnership, we are setting another milestone in ServusTV's tennis strategy and are very pleased to have a strong partner at our side in DTB, who practices tennis with just as much passion as we do. Thanks to the cooperation, we not only reach the fans throughout the year, but where they can best live out their passion for sport - right on the court," comments David Morgenbesser, Head of Sports Rights and Distribution at ServusTV.

One partnership, many beneficiaries

The cooperation between the German Tennis Association, its 17 regional associations and Servus TV is intended to help increase awareness and the brand presence of the broadcaster in tennis Germany. Among other things, tennis broadcasts from ServusTV are now being advertised on the communication channels of the DTB and its state associations. Not only do the two partners benefit from this, but the whole of tennis Germany. Because tennis fans are getting more and more opportunities to watch their favorite sport on TV again for free.
