ServusTV has acquired the rights to the French Open and will be showing a top game of the clay court classic from Paris live and free of charge every day from May 22nd on TV and on the video and streaming platform ServusTV On. The contract was concluded with the rights holder Eurosport and includes not only the top games but also the semi-finals and finals for men and women.

"Roland Garros" is music to the ears of local sports fans. On June 11, 1995, red-white-red sports history was written on center court in Paris when Thomas Muster was the first Austrian to win a Grand Slam tournament and subsequently rose to number 1 in the tennis world.

In 2018 and 2019, Dominic Thiem followed in Muster's footsteps on the Parisian sand. After brilliant performances, Austria's tennis ace only ended up in the final against record champion Rafael Nadal. It was also Nadal who stopped Jürgen Melzer's winning streak in the semifinals in 2010.

The second Grand Slam tournament of the year has been held in the "Stade Roland Garros", named after the famous French aviation pioneer, since 1891.

Last year, Novak Djokovic and Barbora Krejcikova won. Record winners of the French Open are Rafael Nadal with 13 and Chris Evert with 7 titles.
