What is the PEUGEOT Hobby Tennis Tour?

The Hobby Tennis Tour is a platform for amateur and leisure tennis players in Austria, which has been operating on the model of the ATP Professional Tour since 1990.

For 30 years now, tennis players of all ages and levels of ability have experienced the flair of the big, wide tennis world in the middle of Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, Upper Austria, Carinthia and Tyrol.

To compete in the 4 Grand Slam tournaments with the meanwhile more than 1,300 players, in the 9 Masters Series 1000 competitions, the HTT 500 events and the HTT 250 events and recently as a less advanced tennis player Challenger and Future tournaments to collect points for the ranking list (entry list) and to compete in the Masters of the
Qualifying the hobby tennis tour of the 8 players with the highest points gives the participants that feeling that Federer, Nadal & Co experience around the globe.

Who can take part?

All amateur and recreational players, regardless of age, as well as championship players are eligible to participate in the tournaments of the Hobby Tennis Tour, whereby the ITN value must not fall below 3.0 when starting the first time. An exception are those players who have been playing HTT for a long time and who have improved their ITN to below 3.0 due to the current density in the HTT circuit. Their start requires an extra permit from the HTT organizer. In addition, all HTT players have the option of using a so-called ITN wildcard 5 times a year. This allows you to start up to 0.100 below the specified value of the respective tournament. From May 1st, 2019 there will also be a special regulation for the HTT women! You can take advantage of an ITN bonus of 0.500 points, and thus you can also take part in less “endowed” ITN tournaments. The respective player is simply credited with a 0.500 credit note on their current ITN when they are named, which results in their ITN value for participation in the corresponding competition.

On our website, the entire tournament is processed professionally and, above all, up-to-date using the results service, tournament reports, interviews, statistics and much more.

The participants can therefore collect points for the Hobby Tennis Tour ranking lists in a total of 150 tournaments. As with the pros on the ATP Tour, the “Freizeit-Federers” earn points for the so-called entry list.

What does "Entry List" mean?

The so-called entry list has existed since 1990 and thus the ranking list that was originally the only yardstick for world-class players on the ATP tour. In this 52-week ranking system you can see the performance and the results of a player within the last 12 months even during a season. This ranking list has been the only official and valid ranking since the beginning of the 2012 season, as is the case with the pros on the ATP Tour, and is also used to create the seed lists for the Grand Slam tournaments.
