The third and last wildcard for the main competition of the Erste Bank Open, endowed with 2,489,935 euros, goes to Dennis Novak.

With the 29-year-old Lower Austrian Novak, Dominic Thiem and the two other wildcard players Jurij Rodionov and Filip Misolic, four red-white-red tennis aces are fixed in the main draw at the home tournament in the Wiener Stadthalle and at Erste Bank Open 2 Go am Site of the Vienna Ice Skating Club at Heumarkt at the start. Novak is appearing in Vienna for the ninth time, in 2017 and last year the current number 152 in the world rankings reached the round of 16. In the qualification, which begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, there are also two Austrians, Lukas Neumayer from Salzburg and Lucas Miedler from Lower Austria.
The draw for the main competition will also take place in the tennis tent at Heumarkt on Saturday, starting at 10.15 a.m. with free admission. Tennis fans attending the draw will also have the opportunity to watch the qualifiers there for free that day.
