Can Dominic Thiem get the next home win in Vienna?

The first big dream of home win Dominic Thiem has already met in the summer of 2019: In Kitzbühel secured the Austrian exceptional player as the first local player after Thomas Muster the title at the foot of the horn. On his favorite surface, the ashes. From October 21, 2019 Thiem will try to set the historic double strike in the Wiener Stadthalle. The fact that the 26-year-old is doing well on hard court, he has proven this year with his success in Indian Wells and only a few days ago in Beijing impressively.

The competition for the local hero has eased a bit in recent days: after Kei Nishikori also Daniil Medvedev, US Open finalist and newly crowned champion of Shanghai had to cancel his participation in the Stadthalle. With Karen Khachanov, however, a man comes to Vienna, who still has outsider chances of a place at the ATP Finals in London. Defending champion Kevin Anderson will not be there: the South African has already ended his season due to a persistent injury.
