Tsonga and Novak receive wild cards for Erste Bank Open

Tournament Director Herwig Straka has awarded the first two wildcards for the main competition of the Erste Bank Open,worth € 2,443,810, to the Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and the Lower Austrian Dennis Novak . Tsonga won the tennis highlight in the Vienna Stadthalle in 2011 and also reached the finals in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Novak has at its home tournament as the best result of a knockout round from 2017 to show. Before that he had successfully fought his way through qualifying.

"Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has not only a special relationship with the Erste Bank Open, but also proved this season with his victories at the indoor tournaments in Montpellier and Metz also strongly rising form.
