Tsonga and Novak receive wild cards for Erste Bank Open
Two players who have not qualified with their ranking for the main draw of the ATP Tour 500 tournament in Vienna can plan with one mission: Jo-Wilfreid Tsonga and Dennis Novak.

Tournament Director Herwig Straka has awarded the first two wildcards for the main competition of the Erste Bank Open,worth € 2,443,810, to the Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and the Lower Austrian Dennis Novak . Tsonga won the tennis highlight in the Vienna Stadthalle in 2011 and also reached the finals in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Novak has at its home tournament as the best result of a knockout round from 2017 to show. Before that he had successfully fought his way through qualifying.
"Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has not only a special relationship with the Erste Bank Open, but also proved this season with his victories at the indoor tournaments in Montpellier and Metz also strongly rising form. Dennis Novak has always performed well in his performances at the Wiener Stadthalle and has recently taken the winning spot for Austria at the Davis Cup in Finland, "said Straka. "So we remain true to our line to equip a renowned player and a local hero with a wildcard," added Straka, who will wait with the award of the third wildcard.
