Arturo Coello would like to reach the final with Fernando Belasteguin in Vienna today

From 12 noon today, the Vienna Padel Open will enter its decisive phase in the STEFFL Arena, always alternating with a match for women and one for men. The hit game could be in the early afternoon. Because that's where Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan, who were in first place, meet Arturo Coello and his partner Fernando Belasteguin. And the starting position is by no means as clear as the seeding list suggests.

Because in their quarter-finals on Friday, the experienced Belasteguin and the youngster Coello played well against the two Argentinians Federico Chingotto and Juan Tello. And above all with a perfect division of labor: while Belasteguin distributed the balls cleverly and slowed down the game, Coello was responsible for the spectacular points. Above all, the left-hander's overhead balls kept hitting direct points in Chingotto/Tello's field. The 6:0 and 6:2 was the logical consequence.

Logical endgame for women?

Lebron and Galan had to struggle against Antonio Fernandez and José Garcia Diestro, but won 6:2 and 7:6. The second men's semi-final will feature Sanyo Guiterrez and Augustin Tapia against Francisco Navarro and Martin Di Nenno.

For women, everything points to a meeting of the two top seeded pairings. Because neither Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar nor Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria have so far given any weakness.
