Meanwhile, the number 2 pairing, Ariana Sánchez/Paula Josemaría (ESP/ESP), had to work harder: After a hard fight over three hours, the Spaniards beat Carla Mesa/ Claudia Jensen (ESP/ARG) through. The 16-year-old Jensen once again proved her great talent, but missed the sensation with her partner Mesa.

Lebron and Galan sovereign in the semifinals

In the men's tournament, the favorites of the tournament once again showed themselves to be extremely confident: the top seeded Spaniards Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón won 6:2, 6:4 against old champion Fernando Belasteguín from Argentina and his Spanish partner Arturo Coello Manso. “We love it here in Vienna, the atmosphere is great. Gutiérrez/Tapia thrilled the audience in the STEFFL Arena with spectacular rallies and were overjoyed: “The first set was hard fought, but we kept our nerve. We did a lot in the second set and we are looking forward to the final!”

The women's final will take place on Sunday at 11 a.m., followed by the men's. The Father's Day campaign applies: ticket holders can take their fathers with them to the STEFFL Arena free of charge.
