Well, what makes the currently world's best double in padel? Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan are scheduled for Thursday at half past three in the Vienna STEFFL Arena. A surprising number of onlookers have gathered on a normal working day to watch the two Spaniards at work. LebRon and Galan have already won three tournaments on the World Padel Tour in the current season, and of course they are in first place in Vienna. As opponents, the draw brought the favorites after a bye José Rico Dasi, also from Spain, and Augustin Gutierrez.

The first set went easily 6:1 to Lebron/Galan, who mastered the transition from defense to offense perfectly. Which is also and above all related to the communication between the two. Everyone knows at all times where the other is currently moving on the court. Well, that can be said about almost all top couples currently playing at the Vienna Padel Open. But with Lebron and Galan there is also the fact that they manage to complete the points more consistently than their opponents. And not just with powerful smashes. No, Alejandro Galan also has a fine hand, the volley stops don't stand up anymore.

Young star Coello also wins

In the second round there is more resistance from Dasi and Gutierrez, Lebron and Galan become a little less precise. And still win 6:4. Because there is also another factor: the knowledge that you can go a little further in decisive moments. And so Gutierrez nails an actual basic match point smash to the wall. And a point later, Galan makes everything clear with a backhand winner.

Young star Arturo Coello also made it to the quarterfinals alongside Fernando Belasteguin. For a possible meeting with the tournament favorites Lebron and Galan, the two are only one win away.
