Karen Khachanov prevailed against Sebastian Korda in five sets

The fact that a tennis match in a Grand Slam tournament goes into the fifth set is nothing unusual in and of itself. And tennis fans are also generally aware that, given the high level of nervous strain, there are more twists and turns than in the previous four sentences.

But what happened on Manic Monday at Wimbledon in the match between Karen Khachanov and Sebastian Korda, even the most die-hard tennis fan had probably not seen.

The spectators on Court 18 saw an unbelievable 13 breaks, Khachanov was only able to serve the game on the fourth attempt. Curious: When Korda managed his service game to make it 8: 7, Khachanov also countered with a service game he won. Two games later, the 3: 6, 6: 4, 6: 3, 5: 7 and 10: 8 success was fixed.

Khachanov will now face Denis Shapovalov or Roberto Bautista Agut in the quarter-finals. Sebastian Korda will probably remember his 21st birthday for a long time to come.
