Wimbledon 2021: Karolina Pliskova follows Ash Barty into the final
Karolina Pliskova played her first Wimbledon final with a strong performance. Pliskova beat Aryna Sabalenka 5: 7, 6: 4, 6: 4.

In a duel between two hard hitters, Karolina Pliskova got the upper hand. Although she had to cope with the bitter outcome of the first set: Pliskova had eight break chances in the course of the first round, but used none - mostly because Sabalenka served strongly in the crucial moments. She had her first opportunity at 6-5, Pliskova made a double fault.
However, the Czech did not let this dissuade her from her strong game. Both actors are known for the motto: "Only a hard ball is a good ball" - but Pliskova almost consistently presented herself as the one who, when in doubt, slowed down a bit and swapped it for security. Whereby, when she pulled through, she almost always hit the bullet full.
In the end she got early breaks in sets two and three, which brought her to victory. And in the end with strong nerves he finished with an ace.
