It may not have been the best match in the recent past that Novak Djokovic conjured up on Wimbledon's Center Court on Wednesday afternoon. But it was still at least one level too good for Marton Fucsovics. Djokovic won with 6: 2, 6: 4 and 6: 4.

Djokovic, already decorated with two Grand Slam titles this year, made a lightning start and quickly led 5-0. In the second round it seemed that Fucsovics could keep up better. The Hungarian failed to accept the few offers from the 19-time major champion. In the third set, Djokovic broke again, fending off three chances of his opponent for an immediate rebreak in the second game.

Djokovic will play either Karen Khachanov or Denis Shapovalov in the semifinals on Friday. The two were in a fifth set at the time Djokovic's match ended.

The second semi-final will be determined in the later games. Namely between Roger Federer and Hubert Hurkacz and between Queen's winner Matteo Berrettini and Félix Auger-Aliassime.
