Wimbledon 2021: Ofner, Haas, Grabher failed in qualification
With Sebastian Ofner , Julia Grabher and Barbara Haas , the three Austrian starters in the qualification for the Wimbledon tournament were all eliminated on Thursday.

Ofner had a good chance of getting a place in the main field before his meeting with Daniel Masur. But then it was the German who, when in doubt, had the better answers ready. And with a 6: 3, 6: 3, 5: 7 and 6: 1 entered the 128 grid of the third major of the year.
Before that, the two top Austrian women had already said goodbye: Julia Grabher had no chance in the 0: 6 and 3: 6 against Ellen Perez, Barbara Haas was defeated by Tereza Smitkova 6: 7 (6) and 3: 6.
This means that only Dennis Novak is a fixed starter from an Austrian perspective. It is well known that Dominic Thiem's line-up is rather unsafe due to his wrist injury suffered on Mallorca.
