36 wins are now what Iga Swiatek has accumulated in a row. The latest in this impressive series came against Jana Fett in the first round of the 2022 Wimbledon tournament on Tuesday. Swiatek took a little break at the beginning of the second set - but was ultimately never in danger in the 6: 0 and 6: 3 against the Croatian qualifier. Incidentally, the series of 36 wins is the longest since 1997 - at that time Martina Hingis celebrated just as many successes.

Four years ago, the Pole won the junior women's title at Wimbledon, and in 2021 she has already reached the fourth round. After the sovereign 6:0 against Fett she was suddenly 1:3 and 0:40 behind, but after that she didn't allow her opponent to win the game anymore.

In round two, a lucky loser is waiting for the world number one: Leslie Pattinama Kerkhove from the Netherlands.
