"We are working hard to get certainty about our plans for 2020," said AELTC CEO Richard Lewis. A possible shift is accompanied by difficulties and a risk that the time window is small due to the lawn. The tournament would certainly not take place without spectators.

The organizers emphasized that they are in close consultation with the player organizations ATP, WTA, the world association ITF and the other Grand Slam tournaments. The organizers of the French Open had caused Roland Garros to shake their heads in the autumn. There are currently no games on the men's and women's tour until at least June 7th.
