The bad news for the organizers of the lawn tournament in Wimbledon does not end: After Rafael Nadal and Naomi Osaka, David Goffin has now also canceled his participation in the third Grand Slam tournament of the year.

The reason for this is an ankle injury that the Belgian sustained at the ATP 500 event in Halle / Westphalia. Goffin had a crash in the first round game against Corentin Moutet in the second set and had to give up before the start of the third round.

Currently, according to the world number 13, it is not yet possible to predict how long the compulsory break will last. The declared goal for Goffin is now the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which begin on July 24th.
