Up or down - that was the question, especially for Alexander Zverev, after the German had slipped to fourth place in the seeded list for the 2021 Wimbledon tournament due to Dominic Thiem's cancellation. Well, it has become the lower half of the tableau. There Zverev could meet Matteo Berrettini in the quarter-finals.

Roger Federer is also trying to clear the field from below. The Swiss starts against Adrian Mannarino and would face Daniil Medvedev in the quarter-finals.

Tournament favorite Novak Djokovic looks at the tableau from above. And to kick off with the young Jack Draper, he drew a local hero. According to the paper form, Andery Rublev would wait for Djokovic in the quarterfinals. Also in the top half of the grid are Stefanos Tsitsipas, number three, and Roberto Bautista-Agut, the 2019 semi-finalist.

Andy Murray was given a challenging task with Nikoloz Basilashvili, as was Halle winner Ugo Humbert: He has to play against Nick Kyrgios.
