Wimbledon: Krawietz and Mies in the quarterfinals against the defending champions
The top German doubles Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies reached the quarterfinals in Wimbledon.

The duo from Coburg and Cologne won against Britons Jonny O'Mara and Ken Skupski 7: 6 (8: 6), 6: 4, 6: 4 on Monday. The two-time French Open winners at the All England Club had never gotten that far.
On the way to the semi-finals there is now a high hurdle. The next opponents of Krawietz (30) and Mies (31) are the defending champions Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic from Croatia, who are in second place.
