Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan after their win in Alicante

Fourth station, fourth different winner pairing for men: This is how balanced the World Padel Tour will be in 2022, which stopped in Alicante, Spain last week. And this time it was actually the two favourites, the leaders in the world rankings, who were able to win the title: Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan. And how! In the final, the two Martins gave Nenno and Paquito Navarro no chance at 6:2 and 6:3. Lebron/Galan only needed 84 minutes, who had already ensured clear conditions in the semifinals with a 6:1 and 6:1 over Augustin Tapia and Sanyo Gutierrez.

In the women's title, defending champions and favorites Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay prevailed against Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria. But had to stretch properly at 6: 2, 3: 6 and 6: 4. For Salazar it was already the 40th title win on the World Padel Tour.

Now there is a longer break on the tour, the next event is not until April 25th in Albacete. If you want to see the world's best padel players up close, you should keep the week from June 6th to 12th free: the tour will be in Vienna.
