WTA Berlin: Petkovic fails at Sasnovich
Andrea Petkovic was the last German tennis player to drop out of the grass tournament in Berlin.

The day after her surprising success over former Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza (Spain), Petkovic lost in the round of 16 to Aliaksandra Sasnovich 4-6, 4-6. Against the world number 38. Angelique Kerber from Belarus recently lost at the French Open.
Petkovic (Darmstadt) was the only one of a German trio in Berlin to reach the second round, Jule Niemeier (Dortmund) and Tamara Korpatsch (Hamburg) had lost their opening matches.
