Three games, three wins, no, three match demonstrations: Iga Swiatek has so far shown little sign of a long, exhausting season at the WTA FINals in Fort Worth. In fact, the Pole is in remarkable shape in the USA - even in the last group game, the world number one did not show any weaknesses. The 6: 3 and 6: 0 against local hero Coco Gauff: an announcement. Swiatek is now dealing with Aryna Sabalenka.

Second place in Group A, however, surprisingly goes to Caroline Garcia, who caused a lot of tension in the last group game. The direct duel for second place with the Russian Daria Kasatkina quickly developed into a great thriller, after around two and a half hours the Frenchwoman should end it in her favor with 7:6 (5) in the deciding set. Garcia meets undefeated Maria Sakkari in the semifinals.

In pair skating, Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova have so far confidently accepted their role as favorites at the season finale: After three victories in the group stage, the duo is in the semi-finals and will face Jelena Ostapenko and Lyudmyla Kichenok there. Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens contest the second semi-final in the doubles competition against Demi Schuurs and Desirae Krawczyk.
