Jil Teichmann (WTA 73) apparently made good use of her tournament break of almost two months. At least, that was the impression at the $ 115,000 WTA 125k tournament in Limoges. The 22-year-old Swiss, who last played at WTA-International in Luxembourg in mid-October, had another success in the second round at her hard court tournament in France against Tamara Korpatsch (WTA 110) from Hamburg. In a competitive match, Teichmann won 7: 5, 7: 6 (12) against the American number four Jennifer Brady (WTA 55). /

In Limoges, Teichmann's compatriot Stefanie Vögele (WTA 119) failed in the first round against Alizé Cornet (WTA 59) in the first round as did the German player Tatjana Maria (WTA), who was inferior to Sorana Cirstea (WTA 74). In the quarterfinals, Teichmann meets Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (WTA 67). The two-time WTA tournament winner has never played against the 25-year-old.
