Yannick Hanfmann, currently in action at the German Men's Series, is critical of Alexander Zverev's behavior. "He's not the media darling at the moment anyway and then the next action comes," said the 28-year-old in a podcast. Video recordings showed up on Sunday showing the top German player at a party. Zverev had previously said after the controversial Adriatic tour that he wanted to isolate himself at home.

"I saw the video and thought: My God, boy. You really don't make life easy for yourself," said Hanfmann. You also see "again that you can not only learn something from the top players like Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal in a playful way." Number 143 in the ATP world ranking added: "It would almost certainly not have happened to the two of them." The two legends have held back with comments on the entire subject. Federer's public criticism of Zverev is not to be expected anyway: The German has been professionally looked after by Federer's agency "Team8" since last year.

Zverev is said to serve in Berlin

Hanfmann emphasized that adults have to think about the consequences of their actions. Zverev didn't do that at all: "I'm curious to see if there are any consequences."

This is rather unlikely: The ATP, which Zverev could possibly sanction, has its hands full with the preparations for the restart of the tour in Washington. Especially in the United States, the number of people infected with corona has skyrocketed in the past few days.

Zverev took part in two stops on the Adriatic tour in Belgrade (including football match) and Zadar (including basketball match). The next appearance of the German number one is planned at a show fight tournament in Berlin from July 13th to 19th. Interestingly, also with Nick Kyrgios , who had also criticized Zverev for his behavior in the past few days. After all, Boris Becker jumped vigorously to defend Zverev on his side. Nothing has been heard of the native of Hamburg in the past few days.
