Andrea Petkovic will bring her experience to the DTB

Andrea Petkovic can look back on a long and successful career as an athlete. In 2006 she played her first professional season. A year later, the first nomination for the German Fed Cup team followed. Since then, Petkovic has won a total of eight titles on the WTA Tour. Her wealth of experience is immeasurable - and she would like to share it in the future.

From now on, the former top 10 player will support the young talents in the DTB and accompany them as a mentor. During training courses and tournaments, she will particularly support the players in the DTB federal squad. Petkovic's tasks also include assessing potential and participating in competitive sports concepts.

Andrea Petkovic knows the way

“I know how difficult and exhausting the way to the top is and what hurdles you have to overcome. I also had companions in the DTB who always stood by my side - and that helped me enormously. After 16 years as a professional, I want to support the young players with what I really have: experience. I'm really looking forward to it because I'm passionate about tennis and I want to help others make it to the top," said the former world number 9.

Andrea Petkovic has already started working in her new job. In Stuttgart she trained with Ella Seidel and supported Noma Noha Akugue, both of whom just barely failed to qualify for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Many more training sessions with the young talents will follow...
