UTS Oslo: Rublev wins the title against De Minaur undefeated
Without showing any weakness in the tournament, Andrey Rublev won the final in Oslo against Australian Alex de Minaur 3-1 and celebrated his second victory at a UTS event after last year's triumph in Frankfurt.

In the first semi-final, the spectators were looking forward to the next home appearance of local hero Casper Ruud , who won all three of his preliminary round games and met Alex de Minaur alias “The Demon”. The Australian showed an almost flawless performance against the Oslo native from the start and set the course for winning the set early in all three rounds. The 24-year-old was also able to fend off the “Ice Man” joker to triple the next point played and made it into the final 3-0 with scores of 15:9, 17:9 and 14:10.
Like Ruud, Andrey “Rublo” Rublev was also able to win all three preliminary round matches and met the Kazakh Alexander Bublik in the round of the last four. There, the Russian seamlessly continued his previous performances in Oslo and didn't let “The Bublik Enemy” win any of the 8-minute quarters in their 25:11, 25:12, 26:11 success.
After the two smooth semi-finals, the spectators saw an exciting and gripping final for a long time. After De Minaur secured the first period, the 26-year-old Rublev fought back and was able to secure the next two quarters. After that, the world number 5 dominated. the game and won 14:16, 17:10, 16:13, 20:12.

After success in Frankfurt last season, Rublev achieved his second title in the show series created by Patrick Mouratoglou. Aside from the spectacle on the court, the event in Oslo also made headlines with the mysterious disqualification of Gael Monfils and the cancellation of the two top players Dominic Thiem and Holger Rune due to illness after the first day of play.
